I'm having a bad week....or two....or three.  I've lost count.

That's why I haven't been posting. 

I don't feel like I have anything to say.

I have nothing to contribute.

Besides, I'm way too busy trying to get out of bed in the morning.  Life is going on around me and I'm trying to keep up.

Just when I think that blogging is a waste of time and no one is reading, I get an email like this one:

This person was at the old site responding to my post on aggressive vs. assertive vs. passive. 

This has happened almost every time I think of quitting.  Then I wonder why I'm blogging anyway.  Is it for the readers?  Is it for a cathartic experience for me?  Is it ego thinking anything I have to say is worth someone else's time to read it?  I'm too befuddled right now to even think through what I just typed.

By golly!  I think I'm depressed.  Not the dark "I want to kill myself" kind of depressed.  It is the dark "I am overwhelmed with my life and don't know what to do next so I think I'll stay in bed" kind of depressed.  It's the kind of depressed that robs me of sleep and keeps me up till three a.m. where I find myself staring at the television eating Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.  Then I get more depressed because I'm gaining weight.  Which of course, causes me to reach for more peanut butter cups.  I've cancelled social gatherings, hair cut appts. and the dentist this week.  Too tired to go and don't really care anyway. 

I hope I snap out of this soon.  Otherwise I will have no friends left, wild hair hanging below my butt and rotten teeth.
